Being A Spy – With The Minox DCC 5.1 – street photography

Hi there…

Today I’m going to share with you some shots I took with the world known spy camera, the Minox DCC 5.1, which I already possessed for a few of years. As far as I could remember, I only took the camera out twice before this. And in both occassions, I didn’t really use it much. In fact, I almost forgot that I had this little spy camera. Hahaha!

The little Minox gave me a very special feeling and mood when taking pictures. I had to be very gentle, understand it’s limitation, such as 42mm field of view and ISO 100 only. I have to be very selective when shooting this camera, I have to avoid subjects with backlighting, frame my shots carefully as I do not want to crop anymore out of the little 5 megapixels images, and so on.

In the end, I know this is cliche, to get good pictures depends almost totally on the photographer. Good cameras do help a little, but if we think again, what actually are we aftering? The image quality? or the colors? Or the sharpness?

No! The true essence of photography is the content of the pictures.

This is the third time I took out the Minox Leica M3. Welcome you all to have a look at the pictures I shot last Saturday.
