Walk Around with My Beloved Pentax Q – street photography

It was really love at the first sight when I saw the Pentax Q in the internet for the first time.

I knew that I had to get that camera whatever it takes.

You know, when it comes to ‘love’, price is no longer an issue (although at the time, the price was rocket high).

When I knew it was available in Jakarta (Indonesia), I headed straight away to the store.

I really loved this camera! Tiny sensor, amazing pictures.

Just take a look at these pictures below. Most of them are severely cropped.

I took them all last Saturday morning.

I only brought the Pentax Q with 47mm f/1.9 with me.

No other cameras.

Leica M8.2 + Leica 24mm f1.4 Summilux M Asph – street photography

This Chinese New Year (2013) I brought a Leica M8.2  with 24mm Summilux

to shoot in the oldest Chinese shrine in Jakarta.

I don’t understand why people always complaining the Leica M system,

about how hard it is to focus in the dark, how bad is the high ISO, bla-bla-bla…

I tell you what, if you’re not happy with your Leica M system, don’t use it.

I love Leica.

I used auto ISO almost in every situations, except for Landscape and Still Life shootings.

Stray dog – Sony RX100 – landscape & street photography

I was walking back to the hotel from the Patong Beach, Phuket,

when I saw this stray dog sniffing around for his breakfast.

To my instinct, I pointed my camera and snapped a few shots.

The look in the eyes of the dog was my prize.

The title of this photo was inspired by Daido Moriyama’s masterpiece,

the legendary street photographer of Japan.
